BUKE & GASE - Concert/Documentary Feature Film
In 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, when tours were cancelled and all live music went silent, one band refused to stay quiet. This is that concert.The musical duo Buke and Gase performs a complete live concert to the eerily empty, famed arts and musical hall Basilica Hudson. In between the genre-bending performances that make up the concert portions, the film examines the design and creation of their handmade instruments, a six-string former-baritone ukulele (the "Buke") and a hybrid guitar-bass (the "Gase”) as well as the inspirations behind the songs and lyrics. The film contains both a full set from Buke and Gase made up of their hit songs and new releases, as well as insights from Aaron Dessner (The National), Melissa Auf der Maur (The Smashing Pumpkins, Hole), Tosin Abasi (Animals as Leaders), Laurie Anderson (Artist/Musician), Jad Abumrad (Radiolab), Alec Hanley Bemis (Brassland), Jonny Dovercourt (music journalist) and many more.

STEVEN PIERCE is the CEO of FP, and a writer / director with a body of work that spans narrative features, documentary, live music and commercials. As a showrunner, he helmed both the hit series "Top Photographer" with Nigel Barker and "What It Takes" for the NHL/HULU, and has received five collaborative Emmy Awards and one ACE nomination for his work on "Saturday Night Live."
As a documentary filmmaker, Pierce has shaped the stories of Kurt Warner, JJ Watt, Jamaal Charles, Emmanuel Sanders, Christian Yelich and others.
STEVEN PIERCE
MATT MUNDY is the in-house line producer and production coordinator for Framework Productions. He oversees day-to-day finances, operations, staffing, admin, and human resources, and coordinates with FP's Head of Production to help create seamless production experiences for both crew and client.
With many years experience and background in various aspects of the performing arts, Mundy also has the expertise to facilitate remote projects, podcasting, and live events.
MATT MUNDY
JAMES ALLERDYCE oversees creative and quality control for all projects for Framework Productions, working closely with clients and division heads to facilitate the agreed upon vision. He works foremost as a producer, specializing in custom budgets and the building of complex schedules to satisfy projects of various scopes.
As a writer, Allerdyce develops original copy for various commercial projects and is currently developing multiple feature film scripts. As a director, he has shaped narrative, documentary, commercial, sports and music pieces for countless clients.
JAMES ALLERDYCE
RYAN GUESS is a producer, director and production manager for Framework Productions. Working closely with all department heads, he coordinates and executes projects in multiple capacities to help ensure the creative vision of the client is achieved.
Guess has over 15 years experience in helming narrative, documentary, commercial, and branded content production, as well as live music, theatrical, corporate trade and political events both domestically and internationally.

LORI KAY is President of FP Artists, where she personally oversees a roster of clients working across film, television and stage.
She also operates as a producer for the narrative division at Framework Productions, focusing primarily on talent relations and logistics, branding, development, marketing, PR and festival strategy.
Additionally, Kay is currently Vice President of the Talent Managers Association and is a producer of the annual industry event The Heller Awards in Los Angeles.
LORI KAY
BRET CARR serves as Finance Producer for Framework Productions, overseeing all financing and investment opportunities for internally developed narrative projects while working closely with legal to navigate all questions or benefits reserved for potential investors.
With creative production experience spanning stage, screen and live events, Carr brings a diverse and unique understanding of the potential challenges involved in executing successful creative projects.
